New Polyurethane Tire and Wheel Lineup

Solideal, a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of tires and wheels for material handling equipment has recently introduced its new line of polyurethane tires, load wheels and casters for narrow aisle and pallet forklifts to USA, Canada, Mexico and Latin American markets. The new lineup includes improvements to former polyurethane tires manufactured in Muscle Shoals Alabama and the introduction of a related, premium load wheel and caster family.
we are marketing a premium line of tire and wheel products at aggressive prices to show our customers we can lead in this market segment as well.
With this part of the forklift market growing significantly it makes sense for Solideal to expand into this area.
Highlights of the new polyurethane tire and load wheel line include a new, heavy duty compound for use in drive tires as well as the availability of common sizes of load wheels using a newly developed, premium, heavy duty polyurethane compound. As a first step, Solideal will market common sizes of load and caster wheels which fit the common brand forklifts. Solideal will continue to develop a full line of load and caster wheels in two price categories one for the intermittent, low productivity use consumer and another for the continuous, highly productive consumer.
To best serve all the requirements of the polyurethane tire and wheel user community, Solideal has entered into an agreement with Rader Vogel of Hamburg Germany leading polyurethane caster and wheel manufacturer, to distribute their Vulkallon and Pevothan ultra-premium polyurethane material handling wheels and casters in North America. Rader Vogel products rounds out our lineup of polyurethane products and puts in a distinct competitive advantage in the market.
Solideal has recently implemented a strong sales and marketing campaign to establish itself in a market currently dominated by equipment manufacturers. Current forklift dealer customers will be offered a new, polyurethane program and a national account campaign will concentrate on attracting the large, multi-facility users in all markets.
Solideal drive tire brand names include Solidthane Soft SS, an 85A durometer hardness material, Solidthane Premium SP, a 90A hardness material and Solidthane Super Load Clear Bond, a 95A hardness material and a heavy duty compound for high use applications.
Solideal load and caster wheel brand names include Poly Load as the premium, heavy duty 95A material hardness compound for use in high cycle applications and Poly Mech commonly used in less severe applications (available spring 2010).

Solideal buys SPW Industries

Solideal USA has acquired SPW Industries Inc., an Atlanta-based service provider and distributor of construction and industrial tires, wheels and rubber tracks with 13 locations throughout the Southeast.

Bob Bulger, managing director of Solideal, said, “Through this acquisition, Solideal will be even better positioned to meet the needs of our customer base, be they independent dealers or major national accounts across North America.

The new Ecomatic tire is presented as a more environmentally friendly, low cost solution for your press-on forklift applications. It is offered in an e-smooth and e-traction press-on, both of which are manufactured using a universal compound and recycled steel bands.

The new Ecomatic line is engineered using cutting edge European technology to provide long wear in general use operations. The press-on lineup includes common sizes and provides a lower price solution for press-on forklift applications.
